Winter Olympic Games – PyeongChang 2018
Croatia – We do not typically associate Korea, especially South Korea, with the Winter Olympic Games. However, this is going to change in 2018. South Korea lost the Winter Olympic Game race to Vancouver in 2003 and then again to Sochi in 2007. However, PyeongChang became a member of the Olympic family in 2011. Thirty years after the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, the world of sports will be congregating on the Korean peninsula once again – wearing warmer clothes this time. Unfathomable changes have taken placed during those thirty years. The Cold War has ended, many new countries have been created, the Homo sapiens have advanced at a much faster rate compared to all the history. Of course, sports have also changed. We are going to see six new disciplines in fifteen winter sports in Korea. Records in terms of numbers and variety are going to be broken once again.
